Zyntaks R&D (Research & Development) is exploring ZyntaksGenAI — a generative AI learning companion for students in Sri Lanka. The focus is Maths, Science, and core educational content that can run fully offline on a PC or mobile device, so study time does not depend on an always-on internet connection.
The problem
When children study on a phone or computer with open internet access, parents often cannot tell whether the device is being used for learning or for distraction. At the same time, many households face uneven connectivity — so cloud-only tutoring tools are unreliable, expensive to keep online, or simply unavailable when students need them most. Families need a way to give kids a capable study tool without handing them the entire open web.
Our approach
ZyntaksGenAI is being designed as an offline-first generative AI for education: explanations, practice, and guided help in Maths, Science, and related school content — without requiring live internet during use. Parents can allow device access for studying with clearer boundaries: the tool supports learning locally, instead of depending on browsers, chats, and apps that pull attention elsewhere. The project is under active research and development; there is no public demo or live product yet.
Where we are
The intended outcome is a practical offline GenAI study environment that Sri Lankan students can use for Maths, Science, and educational content — even when the network is off — while giving parents more confidence that study devices stay focused on learning.
As research continues, Zyntaks R&D is refining model scope, subject coverage, device performance, and the product experience before any public release. Updates will appear here as milestones land.
